Digital Timeline Project: Medieval Bologna
This timeline aims to construct the intricate history of medieval Bologna and map it alongside the major events of the more general major moments in European history in the Middle Ages. As a component of my PhD dissertation, this timeline hopes to create a more succinct visual counterpart to a written account of the Commune's history in order to better understand the unfolding of events in Bologna and how those events may have related to major events outside the Italian peninsula.
