#AcademicsInQuarantine
#AcademicsInQuarantine is an e-conference series that began in March 2020 after the onset of COVID-19 pandemic. As the realities of the pandemic became apparent and conferences -- both big and small, local and international -- were cancelled, this e-conference series has helped to mitigate the repercussions faced by academics who had planned on sharing their work and ideas with their colleagues. #AcademicsInQuarantine was conceived of as a casual, collegial, and intellectual space were scholars from diverse fields, locations, and trainings could gather safely to share, support, and encourage each other in what has become a strange and trying time.
What started as an idea tossed around on Twitter, #AcademicsInQuarantine has developed into an engaging, collegial, and productive conference series that is well attended and received both within the academy and the greater public.
